So look, I remember back in the day when I used to make those dramatic, slow-mo videos of my then-partner using Shekhinah’s song “Suited”. We really thought we were the main characters. Turns out we were extras in each other’s lives. Shoutout to Shekhinah for the soundtrack to my emotional delusions.

Fast-forward to 2025, and ROSEFEST is back on 9 August aka Women’s Day at the beautiful Walter Sisulu Gardens, and honestly, the timing couldn’t be better. In a country where women still face way too much violence and not nearly enough protection, a platform like this feels necessary. Not just for vibes, but for power, healing, and community.
